What It Was Like Guest Star On One of My Favorite Shows… S.W.A.T. on CBS

Hi all! Ronni Hawk in the house. If you haven’t watched CBS’s S.W.A.T., it’s amazing! Lots of drama and action! And that’s why when I had the chance to guest-star on the show, I was definitely on board. Every audition is different, but I’ll give you the deets on this one. A few days before the audition they gave me three scenes to memorize. I would be playing a social media star with a dangerous stalker. I don’t get nervous for auditions but a minute before I walk in, I do think, “I hope I have my stuff together!” It’s just a second of nerves and then I’m fine. The whole audition took about 30 to 40 minutes. I read for the...

Top Five Unexpected New Year’s Resolutions That Could Change Your Year

Hi all! Your girl Ronni Hawk here… It’s only January, but you’ve probably already broken most of those New Years’ resolutions, right? Well, it’s not our fault. I know how hard it is to stop eating Chipotle twice a day! 😋 How about some New Year’s resolutions that you can actually stick to and are a little more outside the box? These are my top five unexpected resolutions. Feel free to take them! They might just give you the jumpstart you need this year. 😉 Do Something Out of Your Comfort Zone https://giphy.com/gifs/adventure-well-done-progress-2tMYOWRjFHveuOB6jg   All too often, we all play it safe. Our first reaction is “no” instead of “yes.” Not that you have to jump out of an airplane, but just start trying things. Try a new sport...

How a Medical Mission Trip to Colombia Changed My Life

Hey guys, it’s Ronni! I want to tell you about a trip that really changed me.  That’s the cool thing about life. Sometimes fate just brings you something that transforms you and changes the way you view the world. It all started back in 2017 when my church Spanish River Church organized a medical mission trip to Villavicencio, Colombia. On this medical mission, volunteers would have the opportunity to help provide critical dental, medical, and eye care to those that can’t afford it. Once I heard about this opportunity, I knew it was something I had to do. My dad is a dentist, so it really seemed like fate itself led us to this incredible opportunity. After speaking with my mom and dad,...

The Inside Scoop on this Acting Gig

What’s happening fam? Today, I want to share the inside story on this acting profession. I’ve been acting since I was 12 years old and have always been passionate about the performing arts.  I’ve been told more than once that I’m a little…extra. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I still remember one of the first roles that I was offered – it was a Bealls Commercial.  I was so young!  Ever since then, I’ve been hooked and continued to seek every opportunity to pursue my love of acting. Over the years I’ve developed an even greater appreciation for the art as I got involved in bigger projects like Stuck in the Middle and On My Block. I’ve learned so much about filmmaking. Acting has also allowed me to learn...

Ronni Hawk and Young Storytellers Foundation

Hi there! If you follow me on Twitter, you probably saw me at this year’s Star for a Night charity gala. You can also learn more about it in this recent blog post. So many of you shared positive feedback and ways you give back, so today, I want to tell you about another charity that I absolutely love – Young Storytellers. Young Storytellers Foundation is a nonprofit that helps kids develop their creative writing skills through storytelling. It was started in LA over 20 years ago when a group of film students decided to take action after seeing public schools cut back their creative programs due to budget cuts. Young Storytellers hosts programs in local schools across the country to help...

Why I am Honored to Be Part of Star for a Night Events

Recently, I tweeted (@ronnihawk) about attending a Star for a Night gala event organized by the Star for a Night charity and got a lot of DM’s from my followers asking me what it was all about and how I got involved with this organization. I’ve been involved with Star for a Night since I was 14 years old, and it’s always been an honor for me to take part in its events. Each year, Star for a Night galas raise money for a variety of different charities. The event is hosted by actress, model and cancer survivor Taylor Hay. Taylor was diagnosed with cancer at the age of nine. Already an actress at the time, she had to take two years...

Welcome to My Blog!

Hi Everyone! My name is Ronni and I’m excited to welcome you to my new blog. You may know me from Disney’s Stuck in the Middle or Netflix’s On My Block, but this blog will show you what it’s like to be Ronni Hawk off-screen. Here’s a little bit about me: I live on the West Coast but I’m a Florida girl at heart. I love my family, and I can’t live without my dogs Chanel and Calypso, and my two cats, Lila and Quinn. I love taking Chanel and Calypso on long walks and playing with them in the park. I also love snorkeling and canoeing, although I don’t get to do it as often as I’d like. I’m also big on high...
